University Policies

University Policies may be approved from time to time by the Senate, Academic Board/Council, Vice-Chancellor or other member of the Executive to whom the Vice-Chancellor has delegated responsibility for a particular portfolio. University Policies are binding on University staff and/or students.

The University is developing a comprehensive University Policies website with the aim of ensuring that staff and students have ready access to authoritative information on University Policies.

Policies are statements of the principles¹ which govern decision-making.
Procedures are the functional steps used to implement policies.
¹Principles in this context are to be understood as being both broad and detailed.
